Overview

The PATH (Planning a Transit Horizon) Project is a study to reimagine how GTrans’ bus system can better serve you. The goal is to make travel easier, faster, and more connected to where you need to go. 

The study will evaluate routes, schedules, and regional connections to identify opportunities that make transit more reliable and convenient for everyone. The study will also help GTrans prepare for the future, including major events such as the 2026 FIFA World Cup, 2027 Super Bowl, and 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. 

Your feedback matters. Share your ideas and help shape the future of public transit in Gardena. 

What We’re Working Toward (Project Goals)

• Understand today’s transit needs: Analyze how travel patterns have shifted since the pandemic to provide service that is safe, reliable, and meets riders’ evolving expectations.  

• Ensure mobility for all: Provide more options for riders in every neighborhood and strengthen connections across the service area throughout L.A. County. 

• Support sustainability: Build a greener, more efficient transit system that works for everyone.

• Participating in public meetings 

• Trying out our interactive Bus Bucks Game and other engagement activities 

• Completing Surveys 

• Leaving comment cards at pop-up events 

• Speaking with staff during transit intercept outreach at bus stops
