GTrans Launches Line 7X Stadium Express
GTrans to Launch Line 7X Stadium Express – New Transit Service to Inglewood Sports and Entertainment District
On Tuesday, July 13, 2021, the Gardena City Council approved the new Line 7X Stadium Express, transit service to the City of Inglewood Sports and Entertainment District.
The District is home to SoFi Stadium, home field of the Los Angeles Rams and Chargers of the National Football League (NFL), the YouTube Performing Arts Theater, and retail, commercial and residential developments. Future development in the area includes the new Inglewood Basketball and Entertainment Center (Los Angeles Clippers) and the Metro Rail Crenshaw Line La Brea Station. In addition, SoFi Stadium will be the host site for Super Bowl LVI in February 2022 and for the 2028 Olympic Games.
Line 7X Stadium Express, operating on Sundays, will begin on September 12, 2021 out of the Harbor Gateway Transit Center to accommodate the projected high demand for service due to the NFL home football games.
