LAX Just Got Closer | Ride Line 5 to the New LAX/Metro Transit Center!

Beginning Friday, June 6, 2025, GTrans will serve the new LAX/Metro Transit Center (MTC), providing a direct connection to LAX, via a free airport shuttle departing from the station. This station will offer quicker, more seamless airport access—eliminating the need to navigate traffic or parking.

New Location:

LAX/Metro Transit Center
Corner of Aviation Blvd. & 96th Street

Important Service Update:

• Due to construction on Northbound Aviation Blvd, Line 5 will be detoured into the new LAX/MTC.
• The new LAX/MTC replaces the previous Aviation/LAX stop as the last stop.
• The former Aviation/LAX stop is now Aviation/Imperial station.
• Service at Aviation/Imperial station will now be located on the southeast corner of Aviation Blvd & Imperial Hwy (far side of the intersection).
• Note: Access to LAX via the Automated People Mover (APM) is expected to begin as early as January 2026. In the meantime, complementary shuttle service is available from the LAX/Metro Transit Center to all airport terminals.
